HAZEN 2017- 40th ANNIVERSARY

Hard to believe 40 years ago it all began, for me 22 years and no matter my purpose for being there partying or working the last 9 or so it has always been a BLAST! Iíve worn many hats at the party and have never had a bad weekend. Many express concerns about the weather but rain or shine itís always a good time. We have to wonder if those who started it all thought we would be coming back 40 years later and making the party better and better each year. read more...

Motorcyclists Rally at the State Capitol
May 22, 2017 - Harrisburg, PA - Members of ABATE, the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education, held its annual Motorcyclists Rights Rally at Noon in the rotunda of the state capitol. Hundreds of riders from Erie to Philadelphia gathered to be updated on motorcycle legislation pending before the state Legislature. read more...

What A.B.A.T.E means to me.
When I first heard about A.B.A.T.E. I was recovering from a motorcycle accident. I was visiting the Millersville VFW with my father when I first saw A.B.A.T.E members. They had stopped by the VFW as an annual stop on the PA Wounded Warrior Ride. After talking to the A.B.A.T.E riders and receiving more information on the local chapter, my curiosity grew and I decided to learn more.

On March 21, 2017 Megan Ekstrom, Vice-President, Government Affairs of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation sent a letter to Michael Griffith of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Office of Safety. The letter was about the concerns the MRF has with the ten positions on the Motorcycle Advisory Council (MAC). Past Motorcycle Advisory Councils had four motorcycle associations represented out of the ten seats. read more...
