New PA laws includes several addressing COVID-19 pandemic

Among a slew of laws signed by Gov. Tom Wolf earlier this summer, several respond directly to the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor signed 14 bills into law in late July, the end product of an eventful legislative session marked by proxy voting, zoom committee meetings and hearings, a stopgap five-month state budget and changes in the House leadership. read more...

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released the “Early Estimate of Motor Vehicle Traffic Fatalities in 2019,” where the preliminary numbers show that motorcycle fatalities decreased 1% from 2018 to 2019. read more...

Senators Ron Johnson (Wisconsin) and Gary Peters (Minnesota) have introduced Bill S.5234. This is a companion bill to H.R.5234, Motorcyclist Advisory Council Reauthorization Act. This bipartisan legislation aims to define the membership seats of the Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC) to ensure more national motorcycle organizations are represented and authorizes the council for six years. read more...

ABATE OF PENNSYLVANIA HOSTS 35th ANNUAL LEADERSHIP AND LEGISLATIVE SEMINAR

Harrisburg, PA – The Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE of PA) hosted its annual Leadership and Legislative Seminar on January 24, 25, 2020 at the Red Lion Hotel in Harrisburg, PA.
