STATE TREASURER'S REPORT
ATTENTION! CHAPTER TREASURERS! PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR REPORTS TO THE STATE OFFICE!
When reports are sent to the State office then Popcorn must resend them to me at my address. On the inside page of the newsletter my home address, and my email address is listed, that you may use to help with your mailing reports. On the ABATE website my address is also listed as email@example.com.
ABATE’s COP’s says that we are to need to have TWO audits a year. Preparing for audit is easy and I have some suggestions that might help.
• Have all receipts nearby if questions arise.
• Have all your bank statements.
• Have all your treasurers’ reports.
• Have all your deposit slips.
• Try to keep everything together monthly and name the month.
Arrange everything into an order, bank statement to treasurer report with matching deposit slips and receipts. Then proceed to the next month doing the same thing until your done with each month. If someone has questions for you on something they do not understand; all the answers will be there in front of you.
An Audit Form is need for each account the Chapter has, with the required signatures on each form. Those signatures include two officers and two-chapter members and then mailed to the State Treasurer.
